A hawk has eaten most of his siblings. He fell from the tree and followed me around the roof all day. I couldn't get him back up the tree and besides, it's freezing tonight, and the hawk is waiting for him. So he's staying with me till it's warm enough to release him into my backyard where there are many trees.
For now, his name is Mikey. Here he is, sleeping on a warmed rice-sock that I made for him; I found out that baby squirrels can't make their own body heat. Tomorrow I'll go buy some Esbilac and carrots. Wish me luck with keeping Mikey from the big bad hawk!

A friend forwarded me this Danish commercial. Hooyah. And who cares what the commercial is for--did you see the nekkid chest on that firefighter? ;) And yeah, did you see the anvil of a CGI of the landscape at the end, with the blimp floating in? No? Come on, forget the men for a moment, step back, and look at those mountains and crevice. Ahem. Danish commercials are fun!
I miss a lot of funny Kimmel stuff because I watch Letterman and the Incredible Craig Ferguson, but he does do some truly excellent shorts. And his ongoing m/m "love" with Ben Affleck cracks me up.
For those of you who have been following the cute Chiba Six live cam at the bottom of my blog, watching those little furballs grow into crazy fur bundles, they'll be leaving for their new moms and dads this Sunday. So enjoy them for the next few days. For me, they were a joy to follow daily, especially during the nights when I've struggled with words and bills. Watching them piled on top of each other, sleeping the sleep of the innocent, makes one's heart hurt. I'll miss them.
