Another Olympics finished. Let's see, quick impression: Beijing gave a brilliant overview of 5000 years of history, showing off the Chinese culture with the impressive beating of the drums, the special effects, the gazillion-dollar fireworks, wowed everyone with tens of thousands of performers that would shame the Ziedfeld Ladies with their giant unfurling flowers and symbols, finishing off with the symbolic tower of flame and glowing shiny people, and then London accepted the challenge of the next Olympics with...

Mind you, I love me some Zeppelin but um, I was expecting Prince William looking dashing in uniform, stealing my heart with that smile. I was thinking of something a bit more impressive than the London double decker.
Heh. But in my heart, I'm Chinese, what can I say. You can't party like us Chinese, dudes!

Excellent way to start my morning.
Those chapters can not come out quick enough!!
Coming from Great Britian, I thought we did a good job. David Beckham, Leona lewis and Jimmy Page were a good choice. We won't be able to make it a grand affair like Bejing but I think it will have a lot of humour and be very unique.

I was just funning about Jimmy Page because he was so very different from all the Beijing cultural stuff going on. And perhaps that's the point. I'm looking forward to the London Olympics, actually. I think it'll be fun to be there!
