But then, I like Gerard Butler in warlord mode ;-). I also like the works of Frank Miller, graphics novelist who does film noir-styled comics, such as Daredevil, Bathman: The Dark Knight, and Sin City. I love how closely the computer graphics of this trailer follows his art.
300 is an epic historical based on true events. Butler stars as Spartan King Leonidas who leads 300 elite troops into battle against King Xerxes' massive Persian army at the battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C. Men in B.C. skirts! Come on, how can I resist that? ;-)
I remember reading this in school and trying to figure out how to pronounce Xerxes.
