Today, no funny pics! I have an excellent, must-see cultural video to share ;-). Hey, this is a SERIOUS blog.
Have you all heard of the Chinese deity Kwan-Yin? She's the Goddess of Mercy and patron "saint" of women, children, and the arts. She's sometimes portrayed with many, many hands.
Here is a short video of a dance performed by 21 deaf dancers, one behind the other, portraying the thousand-armed Kwan Yin. I was fascinated by how precise their hands movements were, not to mention the fact that they couldn't hear the music! Isn't this a beautiful piece?

Illusion is one of my favorite themes in the arts. I love magic, fantasy, and spy-tech because everything means more than you think.
More prep about Hell. The Virtual Reality is an illusion, yet it's real as well. There's more going on in the CAVE than you think, besides virtual reality training and interaction ;-). More later. Heh.
Isn't this dance fantastic?!!!! Wish I had seen it live.

Ouch, poor sister! We can now conclude that bunnies can be sinister and dangerous!
I want to know about this thing about you giving Jed's Nikki away (re: your last post!) What happened? I don't get it. I thought Nikki is the heroine in Facing Fear and is, uh, Rick Harden's wife????
I had to laugh at the starving comment...me? starve?? HA, I made crepes yesterday for my baby girl and hate a few myself...I should try virtual reality food, see if that works.
Just remembered La grande bouffe, movie by Ferreri on a group of men who decide to eat to death, literally...anyway
Amazing and beautiful piece. I would have loved to see it all!
lol I just saw what I wrote, I ate them, not hate, of course...cute :)
