I've been posting this on social media, but since I haven't heard from Ola at all, I'm going to do so on the blog too:
Because the voices of Egypt have been silenced I want to help my dear friend Olivia Gates , who lives in Cairo, get word out about her new novel, TO TEMPT A SHEIKH.
Ola is a good friend, whom I look forward to seeing every year at RWA. We exchange stories, talk about food, and then I sniff with envy at all the beautiful Egyptian clothes she brings. Ola writes sexy Sheikh stories for Harlequin and her book is now available.
I'm worried about her and hope she and her family are safe in Cairo.

Then there is the monster cyclone that's going to hit Australia today. Yasi is a Cat 5 Storm and Not To Be Trifled With. I have many friends--writers, readers, and old acquaintances--who live there and I know I won't be hearing from them either while they batton down for the coming days. I hope most of them have evacuated to a safe place, and they can't and are staying in their homes, I'm praying for their and their loved ones' (2- and 4- legged) safety.

If you're in Egypt and in Australia, and are online, please let me know how you're doing! Stay safe, friends.
Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Egyptian people. I have been to Egypt twice and the Egyptians are some of the loveliest and warmest people I've ever met.
