Yes, this furry thing is totally dominating my life.
This morning, I put her up in a tree, trying to train her to stay there, but it being 30 plus degrees F., she just chirped and jumped back onto my head, ran down my sweater and hid there. I don't blame her! But I think it's essential to make her understand about the cold, the trees, and living there.
There is a bunch of turkey buzzards that roost in the acreage at the back of my subdivision and I worry about that, since they fly over twice a day--about fifty or more of them!--and I'm sure their keen eyes would catch sight of a little fursquirrel who just sits on a branch.
It's going to be in the 20s tonight, so Miki is going be curled up on her rice-sock.
Miki: "I don't think I look like him."
Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

you should just keep her.
I mean like, what other amazing author can say they have a pet squirrel? NONE..
So keep her! :)
How are the furbabies doing with Miki?
Time to break out the adoption papers! Let's welcome Pepita (a/k/a Miki) Low to the family.
Christine,
I don't think, when she's big, that she would want to live with me. Maybe outside on a tree nearby, if she even remembers!
Mary,
Jiggle Low doesn't like her much, barking at her whenever I feed her, and when I do sit down for some quality time with the mutant poms, they all sit on TOP of me instead, as if that's supposed to stop me from going near that THING :).
Alund,
Miki ran away for ten minutes today! I think the ice on the plants scared her and she jumped off. I thought it was goodbye because I couldn't see her anywhere. Then, when I got to my front door, there she was CHIRPING for me! Too funny.
