It's been a frustrating Sunday. I've been fighting a strange malware on my puter that directs all my google finds (if I click on a link there) to some other pop-up site. I think I must have used 5 diferent anti-virus programs plus a remote assistant. Of course the remote assistant wiped out all my passwords and cookies and personal settings on my computer and now everything looks horrible and unfamiliar. I wouldn't have minded that so much IF the malware had been taken care of but nope, Google links are still be directed elsewhere.
Arghhhh.
How I hate the webworld and computers sometimes. They suck one's time in so many ways and yet are indispensable in one's daily life (okay, only if you're not a Caveman, like someone I know).
Sorry for my boring posts lately but it's like everything is conspiring to stop me from writing and other important things, like blogging ;-). I have a lovely romance video for you to link on. It's 12 minutes long but totally, totally worth it, especially the wonderful ending. Hope you enjoy it.

Okay, will do that. I just can't believe how tough this damn trojan/worm/whatever is to get rid of. And it's just hijacking every google link I click on and very cleverly popping to an ad. For example, if I click on a link that says Errorsmart (the antivirus I use), a popup will redirect the link to another anti-virus! Very, very odd.

hey Jenn have you shown this to alpha guy? I showed this to my guy friends and they all think that the guy in the video is pathetic. They don't find anything cute about the short clip! One of my friends say "Don't you girls like it when guys are bold and assertive?! If it wasn't for the girl, they wouldn't even be together!"
If what Sadista is not what you wish for, try "Hijack This", but use it with some caution. It is a mighty powerful program, but it is free and it worked really well when my husband's 'puter got hijacked and changed the homepage and everything.

Thanks for the link. I've been battling this MONSTER for 48 hours now and at one point, it was so bad, it shut down my Antivirus and refused to let me reload it! I had to call the Support line for help. Now that the AntiVirus is back on, I feel more comfortable getting back on the Internet.
I do have Hijack This, as well as four or five other freeware programs. The problem is, this vermin will not let me turn any of it on, even under safe mode.
But with the tech help and perhaps Sadista later tonight, I hope to kill this piece of s*&t one way or another. while doing taxes. Which means, a whole night of cussing ahead of me.
