Just wow. There's a story here to tell. And she sang one of my most favorite song of all time, I Dreamed A Dream. This woman's voice made those lyrics come alive.
There was a time when men were kind
When their voices were soft
And their words inviting
There was a time when love was blind
And the world was a song
And the song was exciting
There was a time
Then it all went wrong
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted
But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
And they turn your dream to shame
He slept a summer by my side
He filled my days with endless wonder
He took my childhood in his stride
But he was gone when autumn came
And still I dream he'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.

I saw her and she is AMAZING! Totally awesome, Simon was SMILING! I couldn't believe it.
I really like this show. They have showcased some incredible singers, especially those who are the unlikeliest candidates. There is nothing more uplifting than shocking naysayers and making them not only eat their words, but step back and relook at their snap judgements about people.
I really loved her reaction behind the curtain.
That was just beautiful. I really could listen to her a lot more than just the one song and hope to hear more! I hope that she wins.
She has such a lovely voice. It would be a shame not to share it.
I'm glad to see someone that the public would normally laugh at and shock their shoes off!
I've seen this video at least ten times and it never fails to move me. A reminder not to judge on appesrance alone. I hope we all have the opportunity to hear more of her singing.
I feel sorry for other contestants on that show, because she's pretty much won already!
Her recording of Cry Me A River can be found on the Daily Record webpage, by the way. She sounds great.
