Wahhh, are you girls ignoring me for FAMILY and TURKEY? ;-) Well, no sexy sweet potato story for you then, hmmmph.
Instead, you get to read a wonderful article about the growth of romance on PUBLISHERS WEEKLY, titled Texually Promiscuous. It's about how the sub-genres of romance combine all the different layers that we readers love: adventure, fantasy, sex, and romantic elements. There is nothing like a romance ;-).
Beth Anne, the bookseller mentioned here, is a really fantastic reader/bookseller in Colorado Springs. If you live near that area, do pay a visit to her store. It's filled with signed items by very, very big and famous authors including Brockmann and Nora Roberts. She bakes the most fabulous cookies for her signings. I always try to drop by for a visit when I'm in the Denver, CO. area.
So, you go back to your turkeys and I'll go back to mine (on the roof). To my American readers, Happy Thanksgiving and drive safely. To those who outside the States, well, why aren't you posting here?!
(I've just started C.L. Wilson's Lord of The Fading Lands)

Actually I'm trying to ignore that bird in my fridge as long as possible. Read a werewolf romance, first time for me. Weird, very weird, vampires are next.
I need chocolate, and a certain commando.
Lady Zannah, how er.. commando do you want him? LOL
Jenn, turkeys are all well and good but I have been trying to forget that Thanksgiving is coming up, thank you very much. With my fam, getting together generally isn't pleasant for me since a certain family member has so little respect for the rest of us. Ah, so can I expect (and yes I know, I owe you several) a nice dissertation on LotFL? I've also read Lady of Light and Shadows and I would strongly recommend that you not wait between reading the books.
Happy Thanksgiving!
The article was pretty good. I never really cared for romance until I picked up Linda Howard's All the Queen's Men and saw HEY! the GIRL is the one having the adventure! this is Awesome! That's how I found your books, I just kept trying to find who wrote books with adventures for chicks, not just the guys. The religious romance suprised me, and the paranormal stuff just doesn't do it for me, which is kind of odd considering I like some sci-fi and fantasy books. Maybe I want to believe that even I may fall in love one day, and having to date a vampire, or to time travel to do it is a bridge too far for me. Lol anyway enough type from me, happy holidays :O)
Read that vampire romance and it is also strange, tho vampires are not as overly kinky as werewolves. Who knew?
I'm a bit of a bookworm and read a LOT when bored. Got the turkey drowning in a brine and tomorrow will be a doozy, I won't have time to read, boohoo. Hope you enjoy your holiday.
