Another source has confirmed that Walmart and Target are cutting down on their midlist book buying. I was wondering: what books have you been looking for in the past month that you haven't been able to find at Walmarts and other discount stores like it?
For example, I was looking for Sasha Lord's new book. Not there. I ask my inde bookseller who does some buying there and she told me, besides mine, she was looking for Kresley Cole.
Let's make a list, 'kay?

Grey's Anatomy Season Finale
This show is so brain dead, DO NOT RESUSCITATE. I hate, hate, hate where all the relationships have gone and are going. I hate, hate, hate the impending doom of adding on Lexie Grey, who looks too damn perky for someone whose MOTHER JUST DIED OF HICCUPS. I hate, hate, hate how they've destroyed all my favorite couples, including McDreamy and Meredeath.
Okay, rant over.

Yes, I know, you're waiting with bated breath for my debacle at Atlanta airport last week. ;-) It's such a long AND PAINFUL story, I need a big stretch of writing time to fill you in. This weekend, maybe? You will die laughing ***heading hanging***. I just know you will. No one suffers Delta and ATL Hub like I do.

I'll have to keep an eye out at Wal-Mart/Target. I don't go there anymore for books because they never have what I want. Target is awful. Last time I went to Wal-Mart, they had no Iris Johansen books. That's all I can remember.
I agree w/ you about Grey's Anatomy. Not looking forward to the Meredith/McDreamy/Lexie storyline. At all. They've really made Meredith so unloveable. Hate Izzy/George. And why in the heck didn't Bailey get Chief Resident?
I wish there WAS a Wal-Mart/Target near me. Man, I miss buying 6-pack undies for $2.00. But I'm strictly a B&N and Borders girl. B/c they're each about 5 blocks from my apt. Oh, and they deliver. I live on the top floor of a walk-up. =P
Grey's Anatomy DOES suck. It sucked the moment she chose McDreamy over Finn. And wth w/George & Izzy? WHORE! He's a married man!
You should watch Brothers & Sisters instead. Cuter guys. Though the storyline IS getting convoluted. Not as messed up as Lost. Man, I'm so confused w/that show.
Maybe start feeding your pets rice? Rice is safe for all, no? It's the Asian diet.
Could not find Morgan Wolf, Kim Harrison, Christine Warren, Brenda Joyce, you, of course, or Kresley Cole. Those are just the last few authors I have purchased, finally, at Books A Million since Walmart didn't have them. Their loss.
We don't have either store here in NZ and have only recently got a Borders in the city where I live. Buying books here is notoriously crappy. I spend as much time as possible in Borders drooling over books! There selection is huge compared to other stores here. Kind of a new thing for me! I buy most of my stuff online and through reccomendations from a BB.
PS just watched Greys and am in total agreement. **sigh** No HEA for anyone is just poop.

I really think Grey's jumped the shark, what with so many doctors sleeping with interns. Sandra Oh and Ellen P. are still fab actresses, though. Love their characters' friendship. But the show's "dark and twisty" has become "stupid and twisted."

Yeah, books are so expensive overseas and the selection is incredibly small. I love the Internet when it comes to buying books (and other things). It makes so many things possible, yes?
Grey's...the finale really pissed me off.
