Uber Spy Is Always Looking For Uber Gadgets

I saw this in the Internet and laughed my butt off. It's an Ipod with a "new" connector that follows the beat of the music you've downloaded into your Ipod. It's called the Ibuzz. Bwahhhhhhhhhhh!

Writing is like that...put a new twist to something familiar ;-). Can you think of any current books you've read and enjoyed that did that? For example, I loved Liz Maverick's Crimson City concept with the three species--vampires in the skyscrapers, humans on the streets, and werewolves in the subway. Very different and way cool. It could have been a darker story but the concept was very intriguing to me.

Do you remember Sandra Hill's first time-traveling Viking? She's written quite a number of them now but the first ones were refreshing and buzzworthy. I love all things Viking and I remember how happy I was that there were Viking stories again. What was fun was that she not only had the heroine going back in time in every book; there were a few where the hero came forward to the modern day...another neat concept! So the author got to reverse the theme of trying to adjust living in another age.

Tell me about books that have a new twist that buzzed you.

Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

Paranormals aren't usually the first books I pick up, but a couple of years ago, the Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark-Hunter series grabbed hold of my interest and the books haven't let go yet! Definitely an uber-series.

When I was younger, I used to love reading Animorphs because not only did I love the human characters, but the alien characters--like the Andalites--were fascinating and relatable characters too.

I've always wanted to read science fiction that wasn't centered on humans--kind of like taking Star Wars and telling Chewie's story in his wookie world. Basically I wanted alien romance. I read S. L. Viehl's Bio Rescue last year and basically had a big squealing fit. She said later that her editor had wanted her to take out the aquatic love scene between her two main characters because no one would want to read that. HAH!

Well, Tielle St. Claire has an erotica series where the shapeshifters shift to dragons, and some of the sex is with the dragon form. Definitely different, and not for everyone.

Mary Stella,
Yes, Sherry's amazing and such a wonderful nice lady. Her Dark Hunter stuff rivals Tolkien's complexity!

Rhonda,
Now you know why in those ads on TV, those people were all twisting in weird positions while they were walking with their ipods :-).

Lleeo,
Thanks for the recommendation! I'm going to look for the book for my TBR. Aquatic love--yeeha.

anonymous,
I've met Tielle from Alaska when she was celebrating the sale of her first dragon book! And yes, she was one of the first that did were-dragons. Kudos to her! Haven't heard from her lately but hope to bump into her again one of these days. But my, her book was sexy!
