It's RWA (Romance Writers of America) Conference time and I'll be on my way to New York for a week of business mixed with pleasure with fellow authors and writing pals. It's one of my favorite times of the year and it being held in NYC this time round is the cream on top.
I'll definitely be squeezing in some Broadway shows, LOTS of Chinese food, PLENTY of NY shopping in between workshops, book signings, and book collecting! Also, the gossip...yes, that's very important this year because of the tumult the publishing industry is in right now. What does my organization have to say to people like me, who are venturing into self-publishing and doing well?
If you're in the NYC area, please do consider coming for the big Literacy Signing because there will 400 authors there, including the gorgeous Linda Howard (I'll be first in line!), the popular Marjorie Liu (wheeee! my favorite girl!), Sylvia Day, Cindy Gerard, Kylie Brant, and so many more of your favorite authors. All proceeds go to literacy, so you'll be doing a good deed too :).
I'm going to pack light this year because I want to be able to carry home my freebie books instead of sending them. Let's hope I'm successful!
As usual, I ask that you send me some good traveling Karma because I'll be flying Delta again. Sigh. It was the cheapest available and after avoiding Atlanta hub for 3 years in favor of Charlotte, I'm baaaaack. So I need all the good luck I can get!
Stop by and say hi at my table! I'd love to chat with you!

I'll keep a bar stool warm for you. Hurry up. I miss ya!
I can't wait to see you! Crossing my fingers for your flight!
Sending you White Light for your journey.
Eager to hear what the Publishing Houses have to say about self publishers and ebooks.
Wish I could join you, especially for the shows and Chinatown.
Welcome back to the NYC! Hope you get a chance to eat some super yum Chinese food. 3 words for ya--Taiwanese snow ice. Oh yeah. It's here in the NYC. Take the 7 train to Flushing's New World Mall. Basement food court--left corner. Snowpo.
