Yet Another 10 Things I've Done That You Probably Have Not

John Scalzi, wonderful SF writer, has written another Yet Another 10 Things I've Done That You Probably Have Not on his blog.  He always has an awesome, unbeatable list of cool stuff he's done.  Also, his blog readers leave their own impressive lists in the comments too. Check them out!

Here is my list, this time round (I've done one before in which I've included skydiving from 14,000 ft, so am not including that experience in this one).

1) washed and stimulated a squirrel’s butt and private bits.

2) sang Up On The Roof while being up on the roof while holding an umbrella.

3) drove by Tiger Wood’s mansion the day after the infamous car incident.

4) gave a copy of my book to the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

5) walked barefoot on coals for Deepavali.

6) participated in a six-day long Indian wedding/feast that included a dancing bear.

7) had my finger in somebody else’s boil.

8) given 1000 copies of my own book for my birthday (I know, I have a strange friend. He said he got them from someone who buys remainders).

9) and yup, touched, gaped at, and handled 1000 copies of my own book,

10) am currently reroofing a house whose original roof I installed 20 years ago (dammit, I was so certain I wouldn’t be back….)

How about you list ten (or less) things you've done that others probably haven't? It's fun!

Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

Hmmm, I don't think I'm that interesting but here goes

1. Flown as a civilian in Air 31
2. Sat in a COBRA helicopter as a civilian
3. Called our 20's (locations) as a civilian during a high speed chase at speeds of 100 mph during a stolen car pursuit.
4. Helped my kitty live to be 22 years old with kidney disease the last 5 years of her life.
5. Flew the F/A-18 simulator (as a civilian)

and that's about it! Like I said, I'm pretty boring.

1. Interviewed a celebrity when I was 16.
2. Dealt with four out of four pet.deaths within a calender year.
3. Published a book when I was 23
4. Answered 'Happy Birthday' with 'Happy St Patrick's Day'.
5. Got so lost after Monaco Grand Prix testing that I had no idea if I was even still in Monaco.
6. Fallen asleep during the Monaco Grand Prix, while 6ft from the track.
7. Read at both of my grandmothers' funerals within a month.
8. Discovered I have an IQ in the top 2% of the population.
9. Skinned my knee outside my first big publishing event.
10. Survived an evening of free, unlimited, almost forced alcohol, on the iciest day of the year, while suffering an incapacitating cold, during major building works to my house, wearing 5ins stilettos. Only to go A over T next time I wore them, sober and healthy.

Why be like other people?

Regan,
That's not boring at all! You've flown in a COBRA!!! And yeah, that's fantastic, to have have helped your kitty live for five more years. My poms that had kidney disease, I was very vigilant with them but could only keep them for another 3, but they all had heart problems too.

Cat/Kate,

Yikes on the four furbabies gone in a year! Oh, man. I lost two this year and I still haven't gotten over that.

I LOLed at the image of you sleeping six feet away from over 100mph cars zipping by!

Thanks for sharing!
