Off to RWA & Two Books To Give Away!

Right now, I'm packing for the RWA convention. By this time tomorrow, I'm going to be with my author friends, chatting and exchanging news. I can't wait. No sweaty roofing gear for a few days, yay.

I lost ten pounds for RWA and now I can wear my new outfit that I bought for the party. It's going to be strange wobbling around on high heels for four days, especially since I've been climbing up and down roofs non-stop for the last two months. And instead of hammering, I'll be signing books--it never fails to amuse me how I morph from one to the other, from clothes to conversation to company!

Of course I'll be taking pics and blogging about RWA events. Meanwhile I have two books to give away!

The first the ARC to Kelley Armstrong's newest book:

The other one is none other than the third book in the brilliant Maxine Kiss series by Marjorie Liu:

I just love, LOVE the cover art of both books, don't you? Kelley is one of the first urban fantasy authors who caught many romance readers' attention with her strong women and sexy men. Then there is Marjorie, who writes some of the best paranormal romances as well as this awesome series.

Since their books are coming out end of July together, here is a chance for two lucky winners to get their hands on them. Just write in the comments why you enjoy urban fantasy, one of my favorite genres.

I thought it'd be appropriate for Demon Dog to pick the winners! Good luck!

RWA tomorrow!

Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

ooh goodie! I want one!

I enjoy urban fantasy because it has alternate history AND magical beings, a combo I like. There aren't crazy hyphenated names! Also, sometimes they have demon dogs!

Choose me, Pepe Le Pom! Gennita, have fun at RWA!

I love urban fantasy because I love vampires, werewolves, faeries, and other supernatural creatures in a modern, urban, every-day setting. Have tons of fun at RWA! It sounds like it's going to be a blast!

The reasons why I love urban fantasy. Let me name the ways magic, vampires, faeries, wolfs, dragons etc etc. I love them. I love the fact that there is always a human to but the magical being in their person. I love it more when it is a woman that does it. I love it even more when Hell put Jed in his place lol back to urban fantasy.

What's not to love?

Just got an email stating that my copy of Virtually Hers has been shipped! Although I did purchase the download version last year, I really need it in print.

Hope you have a wonderful time at the RWA convention.

I love urban fantasy because it's always edgy and apocalyptic, with lots of mythological twists thrown in.

So, choose me Pepe Le Pom!

I think the idea of otherworldly creatures at play in our own world is very tantalizing, and Armstrong and Liu kick butt at the genre!

Why I love urban fantasy... hmm... because it produces strong men who aren't always the "pretty type", and strong women who aren't going to faint. The mysteries are fun, and keep pulling me in! :)

Hope youa re having a blast at RWA! Urban fantasy has become a fav genre of mine and it's because I love that it's taking place in "modern" times typically when awesome otherworldly beings and that in the end - it's the humanity in them that helps them.

I like to read Urban Fantasy because it's such an escape from the everyday routine of daily life. I love romance, but sometimes I just need some female "kick-butt" attitude. And demons.

I love urban fantasy because it makes me look for the magic in this world.

Urban fantasy mixes my favorite genres: romance, mystery and fantasy with a dash of horror. I love the strong heroines, the alpha heroes and the worlds constrained by nothing but the imagination of the authors; enough variete to keep even the most obsessive readaholic happy, yea me!

I enjoy reading urban fantasy because I love paranormals. Gotta love all those vamps, weres, witches, etc. I get lost in those alternate worlds. :)

P.S. I'm not the same Sara who commented above...I'm Sara Dee on facebook. Just in case you thought I was cheating. ;)
