Help! I'm exhausted today. One of those days when everything went wrong at work, and at the end of the day, it feels like you've moved only three inches.
Then I came home to find two rejections for Virtually Hers. So I ate a tub of icecream.
After that I received another email from my agent telling me that another editor is interested in reading more of Viking Dude (my agent sent out Proposal and first chapter), so I'm going to have to really work hard at polishing Chapters 2 and 3 that I've written in the next ten days.
But I'm bloated from a whole tub of icecream. Argh. Told you it was that kind of a day. I've now worked on Viking Dude for an hour and only managed to move three inches, and bedtime is calling because of the 5am gig.
Life. I so suck at it.
Can you comfort me?

Aw, sorry about the rejects. Damn. I so want them to give the Virtual series a chance.
BUT CONGRATS WITH THE INTEREST FOR VIKING DUDE! That's great news and I know you know it is, just that you're tired right now. Tomorrow you'll be fine again and get those two chapters shiny and wonderful.

OMG, what's the world coming to? THEY REJECTED VIRTUALLY HERS? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?OMG I think I am getting a heart attack at the age of 17. How can they reject Virtually Hers? It just doesn't make any sense. Aww, does that mean we don't get to read it this year either? cause I am this close to committing suicide.
I think I am gonna go and eat ice cream too :(

Hang in there. We're with you. We know that Virtually Hers has a tough road ahead and that maybe certain others will have better luck in the short term. :)
I am so thrilled for you that Viking Dude has some interest. That is fabulous news.

Oh and I didn't get the thing about the "Viking Dude". What are you ladies talking about? Did I miss something important? Who's the viking Dude?

Thanks for the cyber hugs, everyone. I was just having one of those days. But yes, the request for more Viking Dude helped cheered me up some. Now I need to get those rough chapters polished off in a week! Right now, with my energy level in the evenings, it sounds like running a marathon.
Aww Jenn.. Poor thing. I know that VHers will come through. Not to worry. Congrats on Viking Dude! That's great news. We're behind you all the way. No matter what, K? You know, wine and a bubble bath is less fattening and bloating than ice cream. ;-)
