Post #3: Hey Gang, Need Some Comments

I'm trying out a new "embed" widget for my blog. When you click on the Comment button, all the comments appear UNDER the post instead of appearing on an entirely new page.

I need to try it out to see whether it works for everyone's browser. The widget doesn't come in any fancy font colors so I can't tell whether it appears in a readable font on your computer. So, your comments are needed.

1) Can you read the comments?
2) Do you like this embed feature?
3) Is it easier or do you prefer to have a separate page, as per usual?

Thanks for helping out!

Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

Okay, I posted under the wrong post and don't know how to delete. Here's what I didn't like:

1) I can't review
2) I can't delete
3) I can't use my name without an URL, but I solved that by just typing your blog's addy
4) I can't subscribe to comments via email

Other than that, I like the feature :). The other way has more features, though. Wonder what the other readers prefer.

Okay,

I'm testing too. Not sure whether I like it this way. Also, there are no pictures of my readers ;-)!

What do you guys think? Back to the other way?

I'm using firefox 3.

I don't know if this is supposed to happen, but I still have an entirely new page with just your entry and the comments below it.

I don't mind this, but I prefer the other one more.

Just testing this out. No pictures is not a big deal to me.

For me again, you can just put in your name. It didn't force me to add a URL. No delete and no ability to subscribe to comments are issues for me though. :)

Oh, but if you have a sign in (like mine above) you can delete. Hmmm... fascinating.

I'm in IE. I can see it fine, the page 're-opened' and the comments were below your post instead of the other posts.

Hi Cumber Baby
Hi Heath Baby
As long as I'm logged in to Blogger, posting is very easy. I like it.

So you guys don't miss the "notify by email" or "preview" features?

They're going to try to add on the "notify by email" on the next version. I do miss the icon pics, don't you?

When i click on comments (to read) it pops me down to the comment box. I'm flexible though so whatever works is fine with me.

Amie,

I think that's another thing they'll probably fix in the next update, so that people clicking on comments will go TO the comments instead of the comment box. Lots of people seem to want to stay on the page with the original post, so that's why I'm trying this add-on, with a poll ;-). I can go back to the former style quite easily.

I miss the icon pics too. They added a little personality to the comments. But, I'm easy. It's your blog so it's whatever pleases you.

you can totally sign your name w/o the url, just leave it blank like so ;)

I totally love it. I found the other way very annoying. It took longer to load (yes I'm on dialup).

I don't care about pictures or the other features because i don't use them.

I'm trying this as anonymous and seeing if there will be problem posting.
