Turbo Tax Moi

It's that time of the year that I'm hunkered down doing business taxes. It sucks the life out of life, I tell you, when you have to sort out coffee-stained and sun-lightened receipts (courtesy of a certain man) and then figure out where to put the numbers in which column. It also doesn't help when you know at the end of it, you have to write the powers-that-be a big fat cheque that will empty your bank account! Sucks, sucks, sucks.

So y'all will just have to bear with sporadic postings for the next few days. Usually, I entertain myself by looking at pictures of men. Any complaints? ;-P

As you can see, still on my Carlson Twins kick. I'm using this as my wallpaper for now but I switch back to my 300 one now and then. Gerard's manliness rules!

Hey, ladies, it's Mammogram Month, so here is an important announcement:

Many women are anxious about mammograms, but there is no need to worry.By taking a few minutes each day for a week preceding the exam and doing the following exercises, you will be totally prepared for the test and best of all, you can do these simple exercises right in and around your home.

EXERCISE ONE:

Open your refrigerator door and insert one breast in door. Shut the door as hard as possible and lean on the door for good measure. Hold that position for five seconds. Repeat again in case the first time wasn't effective enough.

EXERCISE TWO:

Visit your garage at 3AM when the temperature of the cement floor is just perfect. Take off all your clothes and lie comfortably on the floor with one breast wedged under the rear tire of the car. Ask a friend to slowly back the car up until your breast is sufficiently flattened and chilled.Turn over and repeat with the other breast.

EXERCISE THREE:

Freeze two metal bookends overnight. Strip to the waist. Invite a stranger into the room. Press the bookends against one of your breasts. Smash the bookends together as hard as you can. Set up an appointment with the stranger to meet next year and do it again.

Heh, heh, YOU ARE TOTALLY PREPARED!

For those who have never experienced the wonders of mammograms, now you have something to look forward to.

*******************

I'm looking forward to buying the first, in a long, LONG time, Silhouette contemporary-length story from my Goddess, La Linda Howard. It's in the Nocturne Line, titled Raintree: Inferno. I heard it's available for download from eharlequin already but I'm going to wait for the paperback. Has any of you read it yet? Opinions? What book are you looking forward to buying next?

Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

I feel you on the taxes. I have to pay and it ain't pretty. I'll be poor for awhile.

La Linda has a new book? How exciting. I just went and read the synopsis. I think I need to wait to hear what others think.

I just read a review of that book on one of the online review sites. They shredded it. Bad. And apparently the reviewer is a big Howard fan.

We are golden with the taxes this year, we will even get a little bit of a refund! LOL

Hmmmm, I am most looking forward to Lisa Valdez' Patience, LKH Harlequin, anything from JR Ward, The next Kresley Cole, Immortal book, and Jaquelin Franks, Gabriel. I SO enjoyed Jacob!
What are YOU really looking forward to?

BTW, I am SO freaking glad I am still too young to need a Mamgram yet LOL!

Hi Leiha,

Yes, we self-employed have to pay, pay, pay!

Hi Jordan,

I'm planning to read it to see for myself. LH has always been able to pull off her controversial sexy scenes for me.

Hi Aimee,

Wait, your time will come for the wonderful mammogram experience ;-). I'm looking forward to the new Kresley Cole too.
