Anne Stuart's Uber Spy Book Is Out!

Have you ever been impatiently waiting for a certain book to come out for months and months and then when you heard that it was finally out in stores, you rushed out, and couldn't find it? And your girlfriends and online pals have been telling you how goooooooood the book was and you're gnashing your teeth at home?

Well, that was me before tonight. I have been waiting for Da Goddess Anne Stuart's book, Cold As Ice, the follow-up, though not the sequel, to Black Ice since...oh since Black Ice. I usually go to Walmart once a month to pick up everything at once, what I call the SHOP-TILL-THE-CART- IS-UNPUSHABLE experience. So you know you've got a desperate reader here when I've been stopping at Walmart every evening the last five nights, sometimes TWO Walmarts, looking for my new Stuart.

And I found it tonight and there were already only two copies left! It's one hot property! I snatched it up with a big squee that startled everyone around me, and jumped up and down with it hugged against my chest. ;-) You'd think I won the lottery the way I was acting, heh.

This is my most anticipated book for this year, even more so than La Goddess Linda Howard's sequel to Blair and Wyatt (next month, isn't it? Or is it out already????!), Drop Dead Gorgeous. Stuart is all dark and anti-hero and Howard's coming up is all light and alpha and slap-stick silly. It's going to sooooo great reading these two books! ***fangrrrrrrlsighhhh***

So what hot book are you anticipating these days? And are you like me, actually driving to the store to get it as soon as you find out it's out?

Bear with me while I learn. The first button likes the POST. The second button likes the BLOG site. Please help me by "liking" me. Thanks!

OH definately. The day they are released I take the day off go to the store and buy them. I am impatiently waiting for Kresley Cole's book No Rest for the Wicked, Kinley Mcgregor's Knight of Darkness, Christine Feehan's Conspiracy Game, Christine Warren's She Aint No Fairie Princess, Karen Marie Moning's Dark Fever and Elizabeth Lowell's Whirlpool. And guess what? They're all coming out Oct 31! Can someone say read-a-thon?

Athena,
It looks like you're going to have lots and lots of great books to read in the next few months ;-).

SQ,
Yah well, I am an unashamed Walmart-Babe. Meaning, one stop shopping for the cheap housekeeper, $1.99 tube-socks and all. I can't help it. The place's got everything I need to feed the dogs, me, and the plants! That's the only thing stopping me from moving to NYC. HAHAHA. Snort.

I'm not sure what I'm dressing up yet. I've got a long wig with lots of white and black in it, a purple spidery cape, and gloves. I don't know what that makes--Purple Riding Hood???

Did you party hard? Ate too much candy? ;-)

OMGOSH! I *loved* Anne Stuart's book. I read it in 24 hours, it was *that* good. Really. I know you'll love it, too. You're right, she is really becoming the Queen of dark/anti-social heroes. *sa-woon*

There are so many books I'm waiting for right now! There is the new Suzanne Enoch, Christine Feehan, Tara Janzen, Kresley Cole, NR and JDR!

I have a FABULOUS new author for you to try! Squee!! She is SO good. Nalini Singh. I know she's written some category romances, but her single title, Slave to Sensation is SO GOOD.

I'm also trying two new paranormal authors...Jenna Black and Cameron Dean.

Sorry to take up so much space. *g*
